Is your Galarian Articuno a hundo?
Hundo checker
Galarian Articuno is Psychic/Flying, so only one weather boosts it. Enter the CP from your encounter and find out whether a perfect one could look like that.
Which weather boosts Galarian Articuno?
Psychic / Flying Boosted by Windy
Articuno is the fussiest of the three to get boosted. Psychic and Flying are both boosted by Windy weather and nothing else, so there is exactly one weather condition in the game that puts your encounter on the boosted chart. Every other condition, whether sun, rain, snow, fog or cloud, leaves it unboosted. If you cannot see the swirling wind icon around the encounter, read the unboosted chart.

Is a hundo actually worth it for Galarian Articuno?
Articuno has the most attack-leaning stat line of the three Galarian birds relative to its bulk: 250 attack against 197 defence. That skew is exactly what the Great and Ultra League CP caps punish. CP counts attack the same as everything else, so a high attack IV eats CP budget that could have gone into level, and level is what raises all three stats at once.
The consequence is that a hundo is close to the worst thing you can hold for capped PvP. The rank-1 Great League spread for Galarian Articuno is 0/15/14: zero attack, and near-perfect in the other two. Under the Ultra League cap it is 0/15/12. In both cases a 15/15/15 Articuno ranks somewhere down in the hundreds, because it hits the cap at a lower level and ends up smaller in every stat that matters.
| League | CP cap | Rank-1 IVs | At level | CP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Great League | 1500 | 0 / 15 / 14 | 15.5 | 1496 |
| Ultra League | 2500 | 0 / 15 / 12 | 26 | 2499 |
So the honest answer for Articuno is that a hundo is a Master League and raid-attacker card, not a PvP one. Master League has no CP cap, which means raw stats win and 15/15/15 is genuinely the best possible Articuno. The flip side is that its CP ceiling is low for that league, so it is competing against Pokémon in a completely different weight class. As a Psychic-type attacker it has the attack stat to matter, tempered by a Flying secondary typing that adds Ice, Electric and Rock weaknesses to the Dark, Ghost and Ghost-adjacent problems Psychic already has.
Where the hundo really earns its keep is as a collection piece. A 100% IV legendary from a source that gives you one encounter attempt per day, with a catch rate under one per cent, is a rare thing to own regardless of whether it ever enters a battle. That is a legitimate reason to spend a Master Ball, and it is the reason most players check the CP in the first place.
If you are chasing a PvP Articuno instead, the number to watch on the encounter screen is a low one, not a high one, and the charts on this page will not help you, because they only describe perfect spreads. Check the CP here to decide whether to spend your best items, then appraise after the catch.
